24 Hours of G & T – Announcement 4 – The Prize List

The G & T Show Prize List

The G & T Show – it’s all about story, characters, and Star Trek

Check out our prize list – the 24 Hours of  G & T is almost upon us! Our 24 hour fundraiser begins on Saturday October 29th at 9am Pacific / Noon Eastern / 5pm UK and runs straight through until Sunday October 30th at 9am Pacific / Noon Eastern / 5pm UK. We are raising money to pay for all of our server and technology costs for the coming year. And we have guests, games, contests, prizes, and fun surprises planned throughout the event. We are excited and you should be too!

In our previous announcements, we announced the event, stated our goal and listed where your donations will go, and revealed a portion of our event schedule including all of the ways you can listen to the show live! This time, we’re going to talk about prizes. That’s right; it’s our prize list. Here is all of the cool stuff you can get for listening to the show, donating, and participating in some of our contests. If anything here catches your eye, you better tune in and pitch in for your chance to win!

Thank You

24 Hours of G & T thanks everyone that has donated prizes and time to our fundraising efforts. The prizes that we are offering this year have all been donated to the show by the G & T Show staff, the extended BLB Productions family, our guests, friends of the show, CBS Licensed Products, and more. We want to take a moment to mention them specifically and thank them for their support. Please send them your gratitude by supporting their projects or buying their products.

Personal Donations

First of all, as mentioned above, the G & T Show crew has donated a few items that have come from our personal collections, were purchased specifically for the fundraiser, or were donated to the show. Terry and Allen, Nick, Janet, and Mike have all contributed to the fundraiser, putting our own money in to make sure that we had some cool stuff to give away to our listeners and donors. And our sister shows at Busy Little Beaver Productions have also donated prizes, technology, or time to our fundraising efforts and for that we are most grateful.

Prize List

Donations from Bye Bye Robot

Bye Bye Robot has donated a couple of items this year including a set of Okuda Pill-shaped Door Stickers. These cool stickers were seen affixed to nearly every door aboard Starfleet ships and bases in TNG, DS9, and Voyager. Michael Okuda designed these stickers exclusively for Bye Bye Robot and we were able to get our hands on some during STLV. Bye Bye Robot also donated a Star Trek 50th Anniversary Poster of the TOS Crew. Furthermore, to avoid some of the issues we experienced shipping out the posters last year, Bye Bye Robot will ship the poster directly to our winner.

CBS Licensed Products Donations

And CBS Licensed Products never fails to surprise us. So they have graciously sent us a box of stuff that included shot glasses, a calendar, a TOS Bobble Phaser, Comics, Books, Soundtracks, and so much more! Star Trek Online has also been generous. We have a number of codes for the TOS Bridge Crew Holograms that were available at STLV and other conventions. In addition, there are more STO surprises coming, but we are going to keep some of these under our hat for now. All I will say is if you play Star Trek Online, you will not want to miss your chance to get this.

Star Trek Author Donations

Star Trek Authors: Terry J. Erdmann and Paula M. Block, David Mack, Dayton Ward and Kevin Dilmore, and John Jackson Miller have also been generous. Hence they have given us a number of autographed posters and books for their respective works. And those aren’t the only autographed books that we have available. Furthermore, we have comics signed by J.K. Woodward, and comic anthologies and collections signed by J.K. and John Byrne respectively.

Donations from Friends of the Show

In addition, friends of the show have contributed to our fundraising efforts. Laurie Ferris of the Ferris Anomaly has hand-made a beautiful Star Trek Delta Shield Pillow and we will be giving it away. It’s a one of a kind! And the Klingon Pop Warrior has provided digital downloads of both of her albums, with the newest one being delivered once she finishes recording it. Furthermore, Kipleigh Brown and James Kerwin have provided us with a few surprises that we’re pleased to give away as well.

We have so much stuff, it’ll just be easier to list some of it. Hence below, you’ll find some of the items that we are offering as prizes. In addition, we are keeping some surprises under our hats for the time being, but rest assured, they are very cool.

The Grand Prize

Oh, Wait! I almost forgot the best part! This year’s GRAND PRIZE!

Prize List

So just like last year, the person donating the most over the course of the 24 Hours will win our Grand Prize. Courtesy of artist J.K. Woodward, he will Trek-ify our winner. This one of a kind, custom portrait will feature the winner as their favorite Trek species. And so we need a photo of the winner and the name of their favorite Trek species. And then he’ll create a stunning piece of art to commemorate your fandom in the most unique way imaginable.

Furthermore, to give you an idea of his work, I recently had a piece created featuring Nick, Terry, and me as our favorite Trek species, which you can see just above. But, it gets better! Because the piece J.K. will create for our winner will be in color and larger than the 8.5 by 11 piece I commissioned. Due to his schedule, he will not be able to start working on this piece until at least December. However, it will ship directly to the winner once it has been finished.

We are excited to be able to give away all of these wonderful prizes and more to our listeners and donors. All you have to do is tune in, participate, and donate for a chance to win. We hope to see you on the G & T Show streaming page, our Facebook Live stream, our YouTube page, or Live Love Play’s Twitch Channel. So check out our prize list already!

Michael Medeiros

Mike Medeiros is a great storyteller in his own mind. He’s been known to put words to page and sometimes, he even turns them into audio stories for himself, his friends and the occasional stranger that stumbles upon his stuff by accident. He has written, writes, and will write for Gates of Sto’vo’kor, Blood of the Neirrh, Star Trek: Starfinder, The Klingons of Long Island, Reality’s Edge, and Zygerus. Some of his stories and other writings have materialized on websites and forums for the G & T Show, Priority One, ScienceFiction.com, Star Trek Online, and even Star Trek.com. He’s written a few playable missions for Star Trek Online and has even had a couple of them spotlighted. He keeps saying he’s working on a novel, but is he really? A comic book is more likely. If only he could make money flinging ink at the screen, he’d be a happy camper.

But, wait. There’s more.

He is the co-owner of Busy Little Beaver Productions and is the producer and co-host for G & T Show and Gates of Sto’vo’kor. He’s directed voice actors, and produced and edited audio podcasts and dramas because he doesn’t have the face for video. He plays well with others and is always on the look out for the next project, the next thing, the next next. If he wasn’t working on something with a half dozen other projects waiting in the wings, somebody please check to make sure he’s still breathing.

During the day, he’s a mild-mannered computer repair man who dabbles in web design in his small, rural, Central California community. He lives with his lovingly dysfunctional family and loyal canine companion and spends most of his time in the closet concocting some hair-brained scheme or another. He’s got an unhealthy obsession with Lego video games, Klingons, and Star Trek Online that borders on the neurotic.

Despite all this, he still finds the time to write the words. Find out what he's doing here.
