Published on December 23, 2012 by in Ask Dayton, Blog

Dear Dayton, As 2012 and Season 2 of the G and T Show comes to a close, thanks for making us laugh every week, and also with the good advice, no matter how stupidly insane our questions. My question is: What are some of your best G and T memories of this year, what in Trek or sci-fi grabbed you by the short hairs and made you sit up? What made you facepalm in disbelief? Happy Holidays and New Year Your Wardness

Ask Dayton #35 – Trekification of the Next Generation

Published on July 8, 2012 by in Ask Dayton, Blog

Dear Dayton: How do I ensure that I create a Star Trek fan out of my daughter? She’s seven, and I want to make sure I have something to talk to her about when she is a teenager. I am not seeking real help with anything, that’s why I listen to a podcast based on books that nobody reads and games nobody plays.

Ask Dayton 30 – Creating Interesting Characters

Published on May 28, 2012 by in Ask Dayton, Blog

Dear Dayton: When it comes to original character creation, what in your opinion is it that makes a character interesting? Which parts of the process do you enjoy and which do you dread the most when creating a character? Which characters are you most proud of? Which characters (either of your own creation or from the franchise in general) do you wish you could fuck sideways with a bat’leth? Many thanks. PS. Tending to your lawn? Throw in a couple more Vanguard books and you have yourself a deal, brother.

Ask Dayton #14 – Star Trek vs. Star Wars

Published on January 22, 2012 by in Ask Dayton, Blog

Question: Dear Dayton: With all the Star Trek vs. Star Wars stuff heating up lately, what is your take on the whole thing? I mean, it’s just TV/movies, but people are so passionate about it! I do think there is such a disparity between the amount of Star Wars books and Star Trek books that, well, makes Trek look kinda weak. (Not in the stories, I think Trek novels are awesome for the most part!) Plus, do you think JJ Abrams trying to bring “more Star Wars into Star Trek” as he has said is a good thing? Thanks Dayton,
