G & T Show 155 – Star Trek Online’s Delta Rising
G & T Show 155 – Star Trek Online’s Delta Rising is now available for downloading. Check it out here. This week Nick, Terry, and Mike are back with an all new episode. We discuss Star Trek News, Convention News, and Star Trek Online with a big chunk of the show focused on Star Trek Online and the latest news for the upcoming expansion: Delta Rising.
During Star Trek News we discuss the announcement of the ten finalist in the XPrize‘s Star Trek tricorder competition. We move on to the Greatest Star Trek Selfie Ever Taken and some of the variants that have been put forward by Wil Wheaton. We want to know who’s the guy that photobombed the photo. Terry revealed that Wil Wheaton’s show on SyFy has been canceled. Also, we remember Stephen Lee’s recent passing before moving on to a couple of photos from the 2015 Ships of the Line Calendar. Terry points us to another Star Trek.com article discussing Dayton Ward‘s and Kevin Dilmore‘s Star Trek Seekers 2: Point of Divergence. For new products, we are pleased to see the cast of the Big Bang Theory cosplaying as their favorite TOS Star Trek characters by Bif Bang Pow. Also, Terry mentions a post she had seen on John Champion’s Facebook page listing him as one of the finalists to appear in Star Trek: The Next Generation as Wesley. And finally, in Star Trek News, we briefly talk about the latest comic from IDW: Star Trek The Q Gambit.
Moving on to Star Trek Online News, we talk about what we’ve been doing in game lately, reveal the Delta Rising Trailer, and the official announcement on Star Trek.com. Terry brings attention to Massively latest Star Trek Online article regarding STO’s lack of communication lately. We even spend a little time talking about Caspian Division, our fleet, and some of the recent strides we have made toward the completion of our Starbase, and so much more. Terry reminds everyone that we have a ton of Holo-Leeta Doffs and just send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll get one out to you. Finally, we will be speaking with several Star Trek Online developers and want your questions. Email them, or post them on our forums.
For Convention News, we discuss a first new addition to STLV 2015. William Shatner will be there. Mike reads a message from MidniteShadow regarding Destination Star Trek. James Swallow will be there and will be part of a panel and Simon and Schuster will be selling books in the vendor’s booth. Also, Nicholas Meyer will be hosting a Q & A session after a Wrath of Khan viewing that made all of us squee and curse. Finally, Steve posted a Fan Dance article talking about the Guiness World Record attempt and a few suggestions to maximize everyone’s participation. We also provide the latest updates from Baltimore Comic Con, The Great Allentown Convention, Shoreleave, Farragut Fest, and Farpoint Conventions. Finally, if you’re attending Dragon Con, share your experiencing with us.
Finally, we remind everyone to get the latest Star Trek books in ebook or dead tree format. And support the G & T Show by grabbing them through our Amazon link here.
But, wait. There’s more.
He is the co-owner of Busy Little Beaver Productions and is the producer and co-host for G & T Show and Gates of Sto’vo’kor. He’s directed voice actors, and produced and edited audio podcasts and dramas because he doesn’t have the face for video. He plays well with others and is always on the look out for the next project, the next thing, the next next. If he wasn’t working on something with a half dozen other projects waiting in the wings, somebody please check to make sure he’s still breathing.
During the day, he’s a mild-mannered computer repair man who dabbles in web design in his small, rural, Central California community. He lives with his lovingly dysfunctional family and loyal canine companion and spends most of his time in the closet concocting some hair-brained scheme or another. He’s got an unhealthy obsession with Lego video games, Klingons, and Star Trek Online that borders on the neurotic.
Despite all this, he still finds the time to write the words. Find out what he's doing here.
