G & T Show 164 – Guest-a-palooza

G & T Show 164 - Guest-a-paloozaG & T Show 164 – Guest-a-palooza is now available for downloading. Check it out here. This week Terry is still on vacation in Florida and Mike is still house and doggie sitting for her. However, that did stop him and Nick from putting on a Guest packed show. Adrianne, Janice, Steve, Sunseahl, and later Anthony drops by the show to talk about Star Trek News, the latest for STVL 2015, and a hearty helping of Star Trek Online News.

We start off the show with Nick giving Mike a hard time before jumping into Coffee Clatch where we discuss a variety of topics, including the latest happenings in GamerGate and Felicia Day. Moving into Star Trek News, we discuss the latest Wrath of Khan Uhura and McCoy Bobble Heads, a Star Trek.com Interview with Levar Burton discussing his new children’s book, The Rhino Who Swallowed A Storm. Still in Star Trek News, we discuss news that Season 7 and All Good Things Blu-Rays will be out in December, and Her Universe Bracelet Beads. Before heading into STLV News, we talk briefly about Sirtis, Russ, Intiraymi, and Picardo and the launch of their Kickstarter for their film: The Fifth Passenger.

We jump into STLV 2015 News. We discuss the guest list, and the return of the RAT PACK, before jumping into STO. This week, the Vaadwaur was featured on the STO website in three different Dev Blogs. Also, this week, STO announced that they will be teaming up with Extra Life to raise money for Children’s Hospitals by giving away prizes during two livestream events. Then, we move on to this last weekends’ Delta Rising celebrations featuring a Lobi giveaway and dilithium bonus.

Sunseahl gets us up to speed with the latest controversy in STO. An exploit brought the entire Tau Dewa Sector Map down for several days to prevent players from taking advantage of it and potentially leveling at 17 times the normal rate. The developers punished the nearly everyone that took advantage of the exploit by removing specialization points above ten.

Finally, we wind up the show with announcements. The G & T Show website fundraiser is still ongoing and we need your help to ensure our website continues to operate as intended. Adrianne tells us about a new Star Trek audio drams she’s getting involved with: Shadows of Tyranny, which is a mirror universe TOS-centric show.

Mike Medeiros is a great storyteller in his own mind. He’s been known to put words to page and sometimes, he even turns them into audio stories for himself, his friends and the occasional stranger that stumbles upon his stuff by accident. He has written, writes, and will write for Gates of Sto’vo’kor, Blood of the Neirrh, Star Trek: Starfinder, The Klingons of Long Island, Reality’s Edge, and Zygerus. Some of his stories and other writings have materialized on websites and forums for the G & T Show, Priority One, ScienceFiction.com, Star Trek Online, and even Star Trek.com. He’s written a few playable missions for Star Trek Online and has even had a couple of them spotlighted. He keeps saying he’s working on a novel, but is he really? A comic book is more likely. If only he could make money flinging ink at the screen, he’d be a happy camper.

But, wait. There’s more.

He is the co-owner of Busy Little Beaver Productions and is the producer and co-host for G & T Show and Gates of Sto’vo’kor. He’s directed voice actors, and produced and edited audio podcasts and dramas because he doesn’t have the face for video. He plays well with others and is always on the look out for the next project, the next thing, the next next. If he wasn’t working on something with a half dozen other projects waiting in the wings, somebody please check to make sure he’s still breathing.

During the day, he’s a mild-mannered computer repair man who dabbles in web design in his small, rural, Central California community. He lives with his lovingly dysfunctional family and loyal canine companion and spends most of his time in the closet concocting some hair-brained scheme or another. He’s got an unhealthy obsession with Lego video games, Klingons, and Star Trek Online that borders on the neurotic.

Despite all this, he still finds the time to write the words. Find out what he's doing here.
