G & T Show 18 Data & Inspirations
The G & T Show’s 18th episode is now available for downloading. This week they discuss Lt. Commander Data from Star Trek TNG, and their inspiration for their own fan fiction writing, despite some technical difficulties. Due to Teri’s hectic schedule, there was no Ask Dayton this week. It will be back next week with an all new question – Sorry Dayton.
Soriedem won the G & T Show’s & Holosuite Magazine’s Contest to post an article about last week’s show to win 500 Star Trek Online C-Store Points or the novel of his choice from Amazon.com. Teri and Nick begin this week’s show with Listener Mail from DataLogan concerning the Prime Directive. The discussion moves onto Lt. Commander Data. Later they tell us about their individual inspirations for writing fan fiction. Some technical difficulties interrupted the discussion.
After the issues were resolved, Teri made a few announcements. For our downloaders and iTunes listeners, next week’s episode will be delayed as Soriedem will be out of town. Also, on November 13th, Teri will be in Florida for the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. Who will be Nick’s special guest during Teri’s absence. Find out in a future episode of the G & T Show. They also announced that their first stalker has revealed themselves on the G & T Show’s forums. They continue talking about their fan fiction writing inspirations.
After the discussion, Teri suggested everyone check out Kate Mulgrew on Warehouse 13. Nick mentions a Seth MacFarlane interview with the Hollywood Reporter, where MacFarlane reveals his desire to reboot Star Trek and return the show to its roots. MarFarlane is producing a reboot of Carl Sagan’s Cosmos with Neil Degrasse Tyson. Nick is heart broken when Teri’s dislike of Christain Bale is revealed. They even talked about last week’s hilarious Big Bang Theory with Brent Spiner.
Finally, they asked everyone to support a number of worthy causes. Chris Prestano’s OMG Cancer Summit is getting closer to their goal, but she still needs your help. The G & T Show is partnering with Chris Mulroonie to organize a new and gently loved Star Trek Book Drive for Trek to the Troops – details will follow in future episodes. So Stay tuned. Support Mary Czerwinski’s Make Me Dehner. Nick reminds everyone to join him Wednesday night for Impressions of Sound. It’s 80’s Week!
But, wait. There’s more.
He is the co-owner of Busy Little Beaver Productions and is the producer and co-host for G & T Show and Gates of Sto’vo’kor. He’s directed voice actors, and produced and edited audio podcasts and dramas because he doesn’t have the face for video. He plays well with others and is always on the look out for the next project, the next thing, the next next. If he wasn’t working on something with a half dozen other projects waiting in the wings, somebody please check to make sure he’s still breathing.
During the day, he’s a mild-mannered computer repair man who dabbles in web design in his small, rural, Central California community. He lives with his lovingly dysfunctional family and loyal canine companion and spends most of his time in the closet concocting some hair-brained scheme or another. He’s got an unhealthy obsession with Lego video games, Klingons, and Star Trek Online that borders on the neurotic.
Despite all this, he still finds the time to write the words. Find out what he's doing here.
