G & T Show STLV 2015 Coverage – Andy Fark from Five Year Mission Interview
At the 2015 Star Trek Las Vegas convention, we caught up with Andy Fark, the drummer and one of the songwriters from Five Year Mission.
We begin the interview with Andy explaining that his breath smells of trail mix and energy drink. See, we are a 360-experience, here at the G & T Show! There was also a revelation regarding the existence and accomplishment of squeezy hugs.
It’s Day Seven Thousand of the convention, and this is what happens, folks. I can’t be held responsible. I am merely the messenger.
First, we thanked Andy and all of Five Year Mission for their permission to use their music on the show.
We are all looking forward to the entries in our karaoke contest. And Five Year Mission is going to be the judges! The prize is their discography.
They then answered Nick’s phone. But Janice wasn’t on the phone, so that call was ended. And of course they discussed the lovely Janice and how lovely she is.
Andy is not looking forward to his return to semi-reality. A show is coming up in Lexington, Kentucky. Their actual complete schedule is available on the website and their Facebook page. The links are below. Beyond Spock’s Brain, they are working on Year Four. Many of the songs are written, so they are perhaps halfway done with what’s necessary to make the album happen.
When Nick returned, we discussed the phone call and then the conversation turned, as it often does, to body parts.
They then talked about a couple of drunk girls not connected with the convention. They were, of course, perfect gentlemen! Getcher minds outta the gutter.
There were then discussions of what kinds of items could be placed, uh, you don’t want to know. I am an innocent blogger and I don’t know from such stuff.
The G & T Show booth, of course, is the home of wheeling and dealing for the movers and shakers of Star Trek. Or discussions of, um, items. We certainly learned that Andy and Nick are twins, separated at birth, as they went back and forth on classic wrestling icon Dusty Rhodes.
Then, speaking of wrestling, Terry attempted to wrestle control of the interview back and had to promise a squeezy hug. But we did get a promise out of Andy that Five Year Mission will be a part of the 24 Hours of G & T, scheduled for Halloween of 2015. I do hope someone got that in writing.
Andy, thank you for the fun stream of consciousness interview.
