G & T Show STLV 2015 Coverage – Kimber from Utah cosplayer Interview
Kimber feels that Ilia was the emotional core of the film. While Kimber is not bald or ill, she knows plenty of people who are, and feels that it’s very liberating to be bald.
She grew up in rural Alaska and they had a small black and white television that ran on a battery. Hence she grew up on Star Trek: The Original Series. When Star Trek: The Next Generation came out, it was a very big deal as it was new to them.
Her favorite series is The Original Series, and her second favorite is TNG. She also loves the new movies! She has this in common with her father-in-law and their mutual love of the Trek universe brought them closer.
She feels that the convention showcases a huge spectrum of fandom and how you can be a fan and what you can do, e. g. cosplay, etc. Nick warned her that she might feel a post-convention letdown.
We thank Kimber for her story! Live long and prosper!
She's also a published author (Untrustworthy, published by Riverdale Avenue Books; QSF Discovery 2 Anthology, published by Mischief Corner Books; and The Longest Night Watch Anthology 1 & 2, published by Writers Colony Press), and a prolific fan fiction writer. You can find her adding her fanfiction to our forums, or live tweeting our show.
We understand that she can be bribed with pie.
