G & T Show STLV 2015 Coverage – Tracee Cocco Interview
At Star Trek Las Vegas 2015, Terry Lynn sat down and interviewed Tracee Cocco, she was cosplaying as Lieutenant Jae from TNG. She has worked as a background actress on Star Trek: The Next Generation and, of course, her chief character was Lieutenant Jae!
Tracee originally worked on Baywatch and then on Another 48 Hours with Eddie Murphy. She was noticed on the film set and was hired to work on TNG and play Lieutenant Jae. She would also be made up and work as several different aliens on Star Trek: Voyager. This included a wolf-dog character, which Michael Westmore loved.
She was also in the first three movies, including flying the ship and being blown out of her chair. When the Klingon sisters’ handiwork got Tracee thrown out of her seat, Deanna Troi took over and crashed the ship!
Tracee was able to do her first stunt for Jonathan Frakes, and he gave her her name. She was supposed to be Lieutenant JG but he messed up, and the name Jae stuck. She is also shown in the blooper reel; he chases her down a corridor. Tracee is a working actress; she is a part of what makes it all spin.
This is her first visit to the Star Trek Las Vegas convention. She thanked the fans graciously, and said that the fans are the reason why she is there at all. Terry remarked that Tracee has a ton of energy and is just the sweetest.

She's also a published author (Untrustworthy, published by Riverdale Avenue Books; QSF Discovery 2 Anthology, published by Mischief Corner Books; and The Longest Night Watch Anthology 1 & 2, published by Writers Colony Press), and a prolific fan fiction writer. You can find her adding her fanfiction to our forums, or live tweeting our show.
We understand that she can be bribed with pie.
