Tales from Ten Forward is formerly known as Drunken Star Trek. Yes, they are changing their name because of the Fan Film Guidelines, in order to assure compliance.

Ro Grantham, the producer, also joined us.

The booze flowed, so Terry Lynn asked about the White Zinfandel, which Ro said was called Sunset Blush.

Too Funny

Terry Lynn admits the show cracks her up. There are three episodes up for viewing. Two more are in the editing process.

Evie notes sometimes they have issues getting their guests plastered. But after a while, it just kicks in and they are off to the races.

The Episodes

The next episode they will be discussing is Charlie X, which is their first Original Series episode. The best part was the singing! Because their guest forgot the lyrics, they made up new ones. But those were even better. And that’s not just the booze talking.

And then the next episode is going to be a very special one. Brian North from Dinosaur Comics joined them. So he decided to tackle the beloved Next Generation episode (it was one of our Fifty for Fifty picks!), Yesterday’s Enterprise. Terry Lynn believes this one will be truly hilarious.

By the time they finish editing, they are sick of the episode.

Inspiration for the Show

Evie admits the idea came to her in the shower. So she ran out of the shower to write it all down and suffered an unfortunate shampoo in the eyes incident. She suffers for her art!

Nick admits his best ideas tend to come during his drive home, as his commute takes a good hour. This was how he came up with the Alec Dearest trailer parody.

The show is, of course, not free to produce. Like many of these labors of love, the production costs come out of their own pockets. The new website is TalesFromTenForward.com. Their Twitter and Instagram feeds still need to be changed, so be sure to Google Drunken Star Trek and you’ll be able to find them.
