G & T Show Supplemental Log – Nemesis Studios
G & T Show Supplemental Log – Nemesis Studios is now available for downloading. Please be sure to check it out here. This week Nick, Terry, and Mike had an opportunity to sit down with Stan Konopka in order to discuss his company, Nemesis Studios, and their upcoming graphic novel The Ministry and so much more. During our conversation with Stan, we talked about writer and mentor JK Woodward and even exclusive news from JK Woodward regarding his newest Star Trek Comic. We find out how Nick met Stan at the Allentown Comic Con and discuss other conventions including San Diego Comic Con. Then, we move on toward the discussion of Nemesis Studio, an independent Comic studio and their next major project, which is The Ministry Book Zero “The Eighth Day”.
The Ministry is a series of comics, graphic novels, and novellas that deal with the war in Heaven, Lucifer’s fall, and four angels that refuse to take sides and become the four horsemen of the apocalypse. The stories follow the four horsemen and the chaos and mayhem that follow them through time. The horsemen influence humanity’s wars, famines, and other travesties and apocalypses.
Stan shared his background, growing up during the 80’s in the Southern California, Space Camp, and much more. We talk about the writing process for comics and graphic novels as well as film making, and we get some great advice. Historical settings and Biblical stories fuel his stories. He even shares with us some of the other comics and projects that he’s got in the works. We talk about so many different things in this interview, you’ve got to give it a listen.
But, wait. There’s more.
He is the co-owner of Busy Little Beaver Productions and is the producer and co-host for G & T Show and Gates of Sto’vo’kor. He’s directed voice actors, and produced and edited audio podcasts and dramas because he doesn’t have the face for video. He plays well with others and is always on the look out for the next project, the next thing, the next next. If he wasn’t working on something with a half dozen other projects waiting in the wings, somebody please check to make sure he’s still breathing.
During the day, he’s a mild-mannered computer repair man who dabbles in web design in his small, rural, Central California community. He lives with his lovingly dysfunctional family and loyal canine companion and spends most of his time in the closet concocting some hair-brained scheme or another. He’s got an unhealthy obsession with Lego video games, Klingons, and Star Trek Online that borders on the neurotic.
Despite all this, he still finds the time to write the words. Find out what he's doing here.
