Star Trek Product News Roundup November 2016

Product News November 2016

During November 2016, we covered a ton of Star Trek and geek-related products. However, we might have elided over them a little too quickly, or maybe you didn’t get a chance to see the pictures?

Yet you need not worry. Because we have got you covered.

So the range of products is truly dizzying. And these are just a handful!

Blu-Ray and DVDs

First of all, this one gladdens my ultra-geeky Enterprise-loving heart.

November 2016

Because the Star Trek: Enterprise Complete Series Blu-Ray Set is coming in January! And while we don’t have a price yet, TrekNews.net says:

We anticipate that the set will be spared across 24 Blu-ray discs and will include English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Spanish, and Swedish subtitles along with English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish audio tracks. It’s also safe to assume that the show will be presented in its original 1.85:1 widescreen aspect ratio.

Furthermore, Star Trek Beyond is now out in Ultra HD, 3D, Blu-ray, and DVD. And Amazon retails the multi-formats for $49.99! Expect to get deleted scenes, a look at the special effects, a gag reel, and tributes to the late Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin.

November 2016

And check out the new Roddenberry Vault Sizzle Reel (TOS Blu-Ray sells for $50.99 on Amazon):

Apparel and Jewelry

So the Klingon Mug and Collector Lapel Pins are now ready to beam up. We showcased the mug last month, so here are the pins. The mug retails for $24.99. And the pins retails for $15.00 apiece. So wouldn’t these be great for your backpack or a messenger bag? Because I have to say, I am diggin’ the Gorn.

November 2016

So do you like to make your own costumes? Then try this Simplicity Star Trek jacket pattern for size. Retailing for $20 and accommodating sizes S to XL, you can fight the chill Star Trek style!

And on November 15, Think Geek revealed its new Her Universe Star Trek collection.

Household Items

So I could not decide whether to call these figurines or household items. Hence the coin toss decided and I went with household items. Check out the new Star Trek TNG garden gnomes. Retailing for $24.99 apiece and available in Picard, Data, Worf, or Picard. Or start your own gnome Borg collective.

Books

So the first Star Trek Discovery novel is set for pre-order. Kindle download retails for $11.99 and paperback for $11.07. However, the cover and description currently remain blank. Follow David Mack on Twitter and he will most likely, eventually, do a cover reveal.

Games

And Star Trek.com Shop presents Game Night. So they’ve got Risk ($49.95), Trivial Pursuit (for $29.95 – we played it during the 24 Hours of G & T this year), and Star Trek Panic ($39.95).

Grab Bag

So check it out, these collectible/usable Okudagrams are now a reality. Priced at $9.99 per sheet, wouldn’t these be fun in your bedroom or bath?

Upshot

Finally, every month (and not just November 2016), we aim to bring you the most exciting, innovative, and practical or just plain mind-boggling Star Trek-related products out there. And we thank you for reading!
