Product News June 2017
During June 2017, we covered a ton of Star Trek and geek-related products. However, we might have elided over them a little too quickly, or maybe you didn’t get a chance to see the pictures?
Yet you need not worry. Because we have got you covered.
So the range of products is truly dizzying. And these are just a handful!
June 2017 Coin Sets
StarTrek.com is offering TNG coin sets. All retail for $24.95.
Check out Beverly Crusher!
Would you prefer the crew?
Or maybe Commander Data?
Wait, how about Geordi La Forge?
Shut up, Wesley!
It’s a good day for a Worf coin set!
I sense you might like Deanna Troi.
Or maybe Riker?
Finally, you can’t go wrong with Picard.
June 2017 Ships and Models
First of all, TrekCore reported that Diamond Select offers this Search for Spock model of the Enterprise. The approximately 14″ model comes complete with a stand and is available at the Diamond Select booth at SDCC.
June 2017 Apparel, Jewelry, and Accessories
In addition, we found some nifty clothing and accessories. Impress all with this Star Trek: Live Long And Prosper Men’s Chronograph Watch from The Bradford Exchange. Retails for $129.00.
And show your pride all year, with these beautiful pride tee shirts for TOS, TNG, and Voyager! All retail for $24.95 from StarTrek.com. Some come in white and others in black, so be sure to check the individual listings. Plus they all seem to run from sizes S to XXL.
Furthermore, we saw the USS Enterprise Crew Members Polo from StarTrek.com. Comes in navy blue only, sizes S – XXL. Retails for $39.95 and is composed of 100% cotton.
Or go more casual with the TNG Facepalm T-Shirt. Retailing for $24.95, it comes in black, sizes S – XXL (note: these are both slim-fitting, so size up). Plus there’s the I Am the Borg Shirt, which also retails for $24.95, it comes in black, sizes S – XXL.
Plus there are a few more TNG shirts to choose from. These both come in a pixelated design. Both are $24.95 and sizes S – XXL, although the TNG crew (only available in black) is slim fit, so size up. The Worf shirt only comes in ‘safari green’ (looks light brown to me).
Or sport with Star Trek Distressed Logo T-Shirt. Soft blue with a dark blue insignia, it retails for $26.95 and comes in sizes S – XL. However, check the reviews on the site, which are mixed.
Quark’s Bar Apparel
Furthermore, we saw a bunch of clothing celebrating DS9’s Quark and his bar, from StarTrek.com. First of all, the hoodie retails for $49.95 and comes in sizes S – XXL. It’s heather gray only, in a washable cotton poly blend (you might want to turn it inside out before washing, to be sure to protect the decoration).
Next were a couple of slim fit shirts for women with slightly different designs. Both come in sizes S – XXL and retail for $24.95. Because they are slim fit, StarTrek.com recommends ordering up a size or two. As with the hoodie, you might want to turn the garment inside out to protect the design. Both come in these colors: black, cardinal red, and heather gray. Shirt on the left:

In addition, we saw similarly designed tees in a more traditional fit (so you won’t need to size up). Both retail for $24.95 and come in sizes S – XXL. Furthermore, both come in colors black, cardinal, and heather gray, but the ‘cardinal’ color is not as bright as on the women’s slim fit tees. First, the shirt on the left (and, yes, this is what StarTrek.com is calling cardinal).

Women’s Delta Tanks
The warmer weather means you might want to show off your arms. StarTrek.com has got you covered (or, rather, uncovered).
We start off with women’s delta tanks.
Let’s start with TNG. Both tanks come in sizes S – XXL and colors black, navy, and red. Plus both retail for $24.95. The only difference is the delta is filled in for one of them. Here’s the link for the shirt on the left.
Also, here’s the link for the shirt on the right.
Moving onto the Original Series, the details are similar, e. g. both of these shirts come in red, navy, or black and in sizes S – XXL. Plus they retail for $24.95. Again, the sole difference is the fill in. Here’s the link for the shirt on the left.
So here’s the link for the shirt on the right.
Plus, there are two Voyager shirts. As before, both of these shirts come in red, navy, or black and in sizes S – XXL. Plus they retail for $24.95. Again, the sole difference is the fill in. Here’s the link for the shirt on the left.
And here’s the link for the shirt on the right.
Men’s Delta Tanks
So of course StarTrek.com didn’t leave the men out! Just like for the women’s delta tanks, these all come in sizes S – XXL and colors red, navy, and black. All of them retail for $24.95.
Let’s start with the Original Series. Again, the sole difference is the fill in. Here’s the link for the shirt on the left.
And the shirt on the right.
Next up is Voyager. As before, the sole difference is the fill-in. Here’s the link to the shirt on the left.
And the shirt on the right.
Finally, there’s The Next Generation. Once again, the single difference is the fill-in. Here’s the link to the shirt on the left.
And the shirt on the right.
In addition, we heard about a bunch of pins. StarTrek.com offers a number of new pins, reasonably priced and a lot of fun.
Finally, show some android love with the Lt Commander Data Collector’s Pin, another steal at $8.95.
Bluetooth Comm Badge
In addition, TrekMate reported on its unboxing of the FameTex TNG Bluetooth Communicator.
June 2017 Books
Furthermore, we heard there’s a newly discounted Star Trek: The Next Generation adult coloring/paperback book. EB Games offers this work for $23.00 (formerly $29.23).
Plus, more more Dark Horse Star Trek coloring books will arrive in 2017. Trek Core notes these will focus directly on the second two seasons of TOS. So the new TNG coloring book will showcase seasons four through seven. Prices will vary; check on Amazon for the details.
Also, a collection of new Star Trek calendars debut for 2018. Trek Core reports on a bunch coming from Amazon. Prices vary, so check on Amazon.
June 2017 Housewares and Semi-Practical Stuff
It looks like a plate. However, you probably don’t want to eat off the Star Trek: The Exploration Porcelain Plate Panorama from The Bradford Exchange. Offered for $39.99.
Also, get to redecorating with Eaglemoss‘s USS Franklin commemorative plaque. Available for £19.99, its package’s dimensions are 26cm x 20cm. In English measurements, that’s about 10 1/4″ x 7.88″. Furthermore, at the current exchange rate as of the writing of this blog post, the cost should work out to around $26.
Protect your iPhone 7 in style with this $21.95 official Star Trek Iconic Characters Enterprise Travis Mayweather Soft Gel Case. Keep Anthony Montgomery close to your heart!
The Powder Room
Seriously, there is Trek stuff for every room in your home. So check out this Boldly Go sign from Hobby Lobby. For only $9.99, let all visitors know you are open to all genders and species!
Plus we can’t forget man’s best friend now, can we? Amazon knows your dog needs to boldly go, too (and not cause an interplanetary incident. I’m looking at you, Porthos). In addition, many places require that you pick up your dog’s, er, contributions. Why not pick up the poop in true Trek style, with a communicator-styled poop bag dispenser? Retailing for $19.95, your dog can take care of business and you won’t need to chainsaw an alien tree later. Be sure to read the reviews – a lot of them say the click isn’t too sturdy, so maybe clip it to a belt loop rather than your dog’s leash, particularly if your dog pulls a lot.
StarTrek.com now offers Quark’s barware. First up is the glass cutting board. Retails for $29.95 and yes, this is glass so handle it with care.
And to go along with it, here’s a set of four coasters, also from StarTrek.com. Retails for $24.95.
Or maybe wine glasses are more your speed?
StarTrek.com also offers this Star Trek United Federation of Planets Wine Glass. Retails for $9.95.
The second has the original series delta and also retails for $9.95 from StarTrek.com.
StarTrek.com also sells this Star Trek Voyager Delta Wine Glass – again, it retails for $9.95.
Or go with the TNG delta, also for $9.95.
June 2017 Electronics and Computer Accessories
Since your computer monitor might look a little lonely, San Diego Comic Con offers this sweet little SDCC-Exclusive TNG Enterprise Monitor Mate. Star Trek.com reports only 350 will be made available at the Entertainment Earth booth, on July 20, 2017.
June 2017 Action Figures, Collectibles, and Figurines
Because everybody needs one, there’s now a Mr. Spock commemorative talking poseable figure. The Bradford Exchange offers this unique piece for $129.99.
Or maybe you’d prefer Kirk? Because the Bradford Exchange has got him, too! Also retailing for $129.99. And don’t worry; they’re the same height (it’s just the images that differ).
Plus there’s another Comic-Con Exclusive, the TOS Talking Spock Bobble Head. StarTrek.com reports you can pre-order the bobblehead at Entertainment Earth, but those orders will only be fulfilled if there are any Spock bobble heads left after San Diego Comic-Con 2017. It’s 6 1/4 inches tall; I do not have a price for this item yet.
Well, it’s not exactly an action figure, but Action Figure Insider reports that you can now own a 1:6 size replica of the original captain’s chair prop. Eight inches in height, it retails at Quantum Mechanix for $129.95. After all, your Kirk action figure has got to sit somewhere. Also reported by StarTrek.com.
June 2017 Games
Also, have you ever wanted to be assimilated? Well now you can, with the Star Trek Adventures RPG Borg cube set! As reported by Geek & Sundry, this amazingly beautiful set doesn’t have a price yet, so check with Modiphius. Plus StarTrek.com reported on the launch of Star Trek Adventures.
Next up, TrekToday reported that Star Trek is now coming to the Pocket Starships game.
StarTrek.com reports that WizKids/NECA will release Star Trek: Attack Wing Wave 31 in July. The first of the ships in the upcoming expansion packs, is the U.S.S. Enterprise Refit (Repaint). So be sure to head on over to WizKids for the details.
June 2017 Grab Bag
And finally, you can Trekify the fidget spinner craze by 3D printing your own Star Trek spinner cap. MakerBot’s Thingverse can show you how!
And check out this 3D Star Trek pen on Kickstarter. Pledges run from $99 for one pen to $450 for all six (you can also donate less, but you won’t get a pen). As we have noted before, crowdfunding projects come with risks, so caveat donator.
Finally, for the new series, we have the Star Trek Discovery Giclee Poster. This beauty is 18″ x 24″, and sold by StarTrek.com for $24.95.
Finally, every month (and not just June 2017), we aim to bring you the most exciting, innovative, and practical or just plain mind-boggling Star Trek-related products out there. And we thank you for reading!
