Product News September 2017
So during September 2017, we covered a ton of Star Trek and geek-related products. However, we might have gone over some of them a little too quickly, or maybe you didn’t get a chance to see the pictures?
Yet you need not worry. Because we have got you covered.
So the range of products is truly dizzying. And, as always, these are just a handful!
September 2017 Apparel
First of all, we noticed there were tons of TNG tee shirts for sale at StarTrek.com, featuring the work of artist Juan Ortiz. There seem to be shirts for a lot of the better-known episodes. So we picked out our favorites. Did your make the cut? If not, head on over to StarTrek.com and see if you can find the one you really like!
How about the Star Trek The Next Generation Sins of the Father T-Shirt ? It comes in sizes S – XXL and retails for $24.95.
More September 2017 Apparel
Plus we also spotted:
The Star Trek Discovery Operations Uniform Costume Long Sleeve T-Shirt. Retails for $46.95, sizes S – XXXL. Want shorter sleeves? Because there’s also the Star Trek Discovery Operations Uniform Costume T-Shirt. Retails for $34.95 and also comes in sizes S-XXXL. Also comes in Junior Slim fit, sizes S – XXL, at the same $34.95 price.
Or go for the Star Trek Discovery Science Uniform Costume Long Sleeve T-Shirt, for the same price and sizes. The tee version is also for the same price and sizes, and the Junior Slim Fit, of course, is also at the same price point and size range as the Operations version thereof.
Maybe you’d rather be known as an MD? As expected, the Star Trek Discovery Medical Uniform Costume Long Sleeve T-Shirt comes in the same sizes and for the same price. And so does the tee version and the Junior Slim Fit version.
And instead, if you think you’re fit for command, for the same price and sizes, grab the Star Trek Discovery Command Uniform Costume Long Sleeve T-Shirt. Plus of course the tee version and Junior Slim Fit version are in comparable size ranges and prices as above.
Even More September 2017 Apparel
And if you’re off to Tanagra, you’ll need the Darmok-Style Picard Uniform Jacket from Anovos. However, it’s $500 and won’t be shipping until spring of 2018 (comes in sizes S-XXL). Reported by StarTrek.com. Perhaps you should wear this Star Trek Picard Facepalm T-Shirt underneath? Because it’s only $19.99 (from ThinkGeek) and comes in sizes S-3X.
And baby, you just know it’s getting to be cold outside! Warm up with ThinkGeek’s Star Trek United Federation Thermal Long Sleeve Shirt or their Enterprise Thermal Long Sleeve Shirt – they both retail for #29.99 and come in sizes S – 3X.
Or grab this hoodie, ‘Trek Boldly’ from WeLoveFine, for $45. Plus it comes in black, charcoal, navy, or red, and in sizes S-3XL. In addition, because society still dictates that we have to wear pants, there’s the Star Trek Ships Lounge Pants from ThinkGeek, retailing for $24.99 and in sizes S-3X.
Yet More Apparel
In addition, there was the Star Trek Discovery Starfleet Command T-Shirt for the same price and size range.
September 2017 Patches
Plus we know how you love patches:
Check out these patches from Anovos. First up is the Official Patch Collection — UFP Pennant (Patch 1 of 4: Wave 2 Release) for $10 and then there’s the Star Trek: The Official Patch Collection Wave 1, also for $10.
September 2017 Housewares and Semi-Practical Stuff
In addition, we also saw the Star Trek The Next Generation Firstborn Woven Throw [36 x 58] at StarTrek.com. Retails for $49.95. There’s no care information for it, but it’s 100% polyester so I suspect you can put it in a washing machine on a gentle cycle and then hang it to dry in case it becomes dirty. However, I would suggest contacting StarTrek.com directly for the specifics.
And check out the TNG Warp Core USB Car Charger from ThinkGeek! Retails for $39.99. Plus there’s the SDCC 2016 Exclusive Star Trek Mirror Kirk Statue Paperweight from Icon Heroes. Retails for $49.99.
September 2017 Art and Music
Furthermore, we saw a ton of TNG canvases! These also came from StarTrek.com, and they were all 12×18 and priced at $22.95. And much like with the TNG tee shirts, we selected a bunch but there are more, so please go to their site and look if we missed your favorites!
Finally, there’s also TNG Skin of Evil.
September 2017 Models
In addition, the Trek Collective reported that there was a Mega Eaglemoss update: Discovery series sign up, Aventine images and more issues previewed. They also reviewed the Official Starships Collection’s USS Titan , which was designed by our friend Sean Tourangeau. In addition, ThinkGeek put out the 2018 Star Trek Ships of the Line Wall Calendar, retailing for $14.99.
September 2017 Action Figures, Collectibles, and Figurines
So we also learned that Funko Makes Alien, Predator, Star Trek, Tron baddies cuter than ever. The Nerdist reports that Funko is rolling out a new Dorbz line. These come out in November. While the prices were not yet listed, similar items on the Funko site sell for $9.99 for individuals and $25-65 for sets, so expect comparable pricing.
September 2017 Games
Also, we found this Star Trek Attack Wing: Oberth Class Card Pack from GameNerdz, on sale for $6.99 (it was originally $9.99).
September 2017 Jewelry
September 2017 Christmas
So Christmas is coming! And Hallmark has done it again! Trek Collective reports that Hallmark reveals USS Discovery ornament for 2018, and other new decorations. However, I do not yet have a price. And check out Kevin Dilmore in the below video! Trek Core also reported on the first Hallmark USS Discovery Concept Renderings.
September 2017 Grab Bag
And finally, we came across the Hallmark itty bittys TNG Captain Picard and Worf Stuffed Animals, Set of 2. Retails for $24.95.
In addition, if you want to decorate your chair, Entertainment Earth offers a choice of six ‘capes’. StarTrek.com and TrekToday report that these will retail for $24.99 apiece and will be available in November.
Plus, do you like to quilt? Keepsake Quilting now offers Star Trek fabric for $5.68 per yard, down from the original price of $10.96 per yard. Even at the reduced price, it’s probably going to be expensive to make an entire quilt out of it. However, you could probably make some nifty quilt squares for a larger piece.
And you can also get your hands on the Roddenberry’s Picard desk crystal prop replica for $99.
Finally, every month (and not just September 2017), we aim to bring you the most exciting, innovative, and practical or just plain mind-boggling Star Trek-related products out there. And we thank you for reading!
